About Copper-Constantan Thermocouples
Copper-constantan thermocouples (Type T) are thermoelectric transducers consisting of pure copper (positive electrode) and constantan (MNMts40-1.5 alloy, negative electrode). Copper-constantan thermocouples are used to measure temperatures from -200°C to +400°C. These transducers offer high accuracy, highly linear characteristics, and corrosion resistance in oxidizing and reducing environments.
Key characteristics and features of copper-constantan thermocouples:
They are used for low-temperature measurements, in cryogenics, laboratory research, the food industry, and more.
Copper-constantan thermocouples offer advantages such as high accuracy, reproducibility, high sensitivity, and oxidation resistance.
Disadvantages include a low upper temperature measurement limit (400°C), as copper rapidly oxidizes at temperatures above 400°C.
