Chromel-alumel thermocouples are widely used to measure temperatures from -200 to +1100°C. TXA type K thermocouples are characterized by high reliability, low cost, and near-linear characteristics. They are primarily used in industrial furnaces, drying chambers, gas turbines, metal heat treatment, power generation, cryogenics, automation, and other applications. They are resistant to oxidation in air.
