The 4th International Conference on Photonics, Optics and Laser Technology PHOTOPTICS 2016

Has an open call for papers, whose deadline is scheduled for September 8, 2015. We hope you can participate in this conference by submitting a paper reflecting your current research in any of the following areas:

PHOTOPTICS 2016 will be held in Rome, Italy, February 17 - 19, 2016.

The conference will be sponsored by the Institute for Systems and Technologies of Information, Control and Communication (INSTICC) and held in cooperation with the European Optical Society (EOS), Portuguese Society of Optics and Photonics (SPOF), European Photonics Industry Consortium (EPIC), the Japan Society of Applied Physics (JSAP) and the Italian Society of Optics and Photonics (SIOF) and also has a technical sponsorship by the Photonics21. INSTICC is Member of the Workflow Management Coalition (WfMC). Logistics Partner the Science and Technology Events (SCITEVENTS).

Optical systems are ubiquitous in modern society, from medical sciences to space exploration, telecommunications, information processing and numerous industrial and military applications of all kinds.

This 4th edition of PHOTOPTICS will feature 3 different tracks on Optics, Photonics and Lasers, covering both theoretical and practical aspects. Researchers, engineers and practitioners interested in any of these fields are welcome to join us in Rome and present their work on new methods or technologies, advanced prototypes, systems, tools and techniques, as well as general survey papers indicating future directions.

We would like to highlight the presence of Professor Giancarlo Righini, Director of Museo Storico della Fisica and member of Nello Carrara Institute of Applied Physics, Italy; Professor Andrea Cusano, Engineering Department of University of Sannio, co-founder the Optoelectronic Group, Italy and Professor Manuel Filipe Costa, Departamento de Fisica da Universidade do Minho and President of Portuguese Society for Optics and Photonics, Portugal, as keynote lecturers.

PHOTOPTICS is interested in promoting high quality research as it can be confirmed by last year acceptance rates, where from 111 submissions, 14% were presented as full papers.

Submitted papers will be subject to a double-blind review process. All accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings, under an ISBN reference, on paper and on CD-ROM support.

The proceedings will be submitted for indexation by Thomson Reuters Conference Proceedings Citation Index (ISI), INSPEC, DBLP, EI (Elsevier Index) and Scopus.

All papers presented at the conference venue will be available at the SCITEPRESS Digital Library. SCITEPRESS is a member of CrossRef.

Best paper awards will be distributed during the conference closing session. Please check the website for further information.

Workshops, Special sessions, Tutorials as well as Demonstrations dedicated to other technical/scientific topics are also envisaged: companies interested in presenting their products/methodologies or researchers interested in holding a tutorial are invited to contact the conference secretariat. Workshop chairs and Special Session chairs will benefit from logistics support and other types of support, including secretariat and financial support, to facilitate the development of a valid idea.

PHOTOPTICS 2016 will be held in conjunction with SENSORNETS 2016 (5th International Conference on Sensor Networks - http://www.sensornets.org/) in Rome, Italy. Registration to PHOTOPTICS will enable free attendance to any sessions of SENSORNETS 2016 conferences as a non-speaker.
